Tomorrow, March 8, is International Women’s Day, a day of recognition held each year to advocate for women’s rights.
The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow,” highlighting how women and girls are effective and powerful leaders for shaping the future. Through our life-changing Dream Programs, Soroptimists are working tirelessly to pave the way to a world where women and girls are central in solving the biggest problems of the 21st century. Today, we celebrate each and every one of our members for the role you play in creating that lasting impact.
However, women and girls today still face countless obstacles. Violence, lack of support for single mothers, poverty, discrimination—these are just a few of their challenges. But women and girls are determined to change that. They are fighting for their future. Will you?
