We know that education is key to helping women and girls achieve economic empowerment. This Giving Tuesday, we’re calling on members to help raise critical funds for our Dream Programs. In just a few easy steps, you can create a personal Facebook fundraising campaign that benefits Soroptimist for Giving Tuesday. Plus, all donations made to our Giving Tuesday campaign will be matched up to $10K thanks to an exciting partnership with JAFRA!

The Live Your Dream Awards application portal closes on November 15 for applicants. Be sure club chairs sign into the portal to begin reviewing applications as soon as possible.

The Simply Voting electronic ballot platform for SIA Board of Directors is now open in the following Electoral Areas and regions. The ballot system closes on January 6.
100th Anniversary—the Celebration Continues!
Our #Soroptimist100 anniversary celebration isn’t over—continuing through our 2022 convention next July! Help keep the party going by sharing your club celebrations with us. Here are a few to inspire you. We will continue to share throughout the year:

In Memoriam
SIA sadly reports the passing of 2003-2004 federation president Takiko Hayaishi, 98. A member of SI/Kyoto-Miyako, Japan (Japan Chuo Region) since 1980, Takiko served as SIA board director, Japan Chuo Region board director, region secretary and governor. She was the first SIA president from Japan, and from SIA’s countries in Asia. SIA sends its deepest condolences to Takiko’s daughter, Mariko Akizuki, a frequent companion and translator for Takiko at many Soroptimist conferences and conventions, and Mariko’s family, as well as all the Soroptimists who were touched by her inspirational and forward-thinking leadership.
