SIA President-Elect

Dr. Gloria “Ginger” Cole, Ed.D.

As president-elect, Cole will work with SIA President Bobbi Enderlin of Benicia, Calif., and the Soroptimist Board to oversee Soroptimist’s strategic planning and program development for the organization. She will also help lead Soroptimist’s efforts to increase its collective impact in helping women and girls to reach their full potential. SIA economically empowers women and girls through its Dream Programs, which provide women and girls with access to education.

Cole is a member of Soroptimist International of Los Angeles, one of 1,200 Soroptimist clubs throughout the world. A member since 2007, she has held several leadership positions, including SIA board secretary treasurer and member, region governor and secretary, club president, and vice president. She will become SIA’s president on September 1, 2024.

Dr. Cole retired in 2011 after working as an administrator for the Los Angeles Unified School District since 1979. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of California, Los Angeles. In addition to her Soroptimist involvement, she is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Foothill Alumnae Chapter.
